We love to head to the beach any chance we get, but sometimes I’d like to bring the beach home with me. Every day can feel like vacation when you create a flip flop- beach themed bedroom! This idea isn’t just for summer, it is a fun décor idea to enjoy all year long. Take a look below at some fun ideas we came up with to create your own flip flop themed bedroom on a budget!

fun flip flop bedroom decor and bedding ideas

1. Choose coastal colors.
Opt for light blues and greens that echo a coastal theme. You can even tie in some soft beige and browns if you wish. This will offer the room a light and airy feel, and even give the impression of a larger, roomier space. Look for colors such as mint, sea glass, soft blues, and tan.

2. Add some tropical greenery.
You can add living palm plants or tropical flowers such as hibiscus for a real tropical feel. This will allow you to bring the tropical outdoors in and also add some fresh elements to the room. You can find these plants at local greenhouses, or opt for silk.

3. Create a flip flop frame.
A little hot glue and flip flops can help you create a flip flop frame. Any frame can be spruced up by gluing the flip flops along the edge of the frame. You can even buy canvas if you wish and glue a flip flop directly in the center for instant art.

4. Don’t forget sand.
Fill vases or candle holders with some craft sand. Available in a variety of colors, ties can also help tie in the coastal theme.

5. Don’t forget the dollar store.
Right now, stores such as Dollar Tree have a huge variety of flip flops, flip flop candle holders, and even flip flop candles. Snag these items to use as accents in the room.

I’ve never thought of decorating my bedroom in flip flops. What an awesome idea! The next time I redecorate I’ll definitely go the flip flop route, thanks!
